Jerusalem (TAN) – Israel’s military chief Benny Gantz Let.Jen will decide what to do after Palestinian militants fired an anti-tank missile into a military jeep patrolling the Gaza border, Saturday night (10/11).
TAN reported fourth Infantry soldiers were wounded when the missile hit an armored jeep when the vehicle was used for routine patrol along the border fence in the northern Gaza Strip, the army said in a statement sent to Xinhua.
A military helicopter evacuated two soldiers who suffered serious injuries to the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. Two more soldiers suffered minor injuries and was and taken to a hospital in the coastal city of Ashkelon, according to Israel’s Channel 2 TV station.
Israeli bombs and tanks fired heavy machine guns in the direction of a suspected militant hideouts used in the south and east of the Gaza Strip, including targets in settlements Sa `ajiya and Zeitoun, according to the Chinese news agency, Xinhua.
Several rockets fired from the Gaza Strip to the town of Sderot, southern Israel, and the Board of Sha `ar Hanegev Regional shortly after the incident. Sound air-raid warning sounded to alert residents in one of the settlements in order to seek refuge in shelters, according to Channel 2.
