The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) on Monday staged a demonstration at the Karachi Press Club (KPC), demanding an end to the mass killing of Muslims in Burma.
The participants held placards, banners and caps demanding from the government to use their good offices to stop the killing of Muslims in Myanmar.These leaders expressed complete solidarity with the Muslim brothers of Burma. They also demanded from the UN and Muslim countries to intervene and stop the killing of Muslims. As per estimate thousands of Muslims have been butchered.
These leaders also demanded that the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) should also raise their voice against the genocide of Muslims in Myanmar Burma.A heavy contingent of police was deployed at the rally to avert any untoward incident. The rally demonstrated complete solidarity with the Muslims. These leaders said that the Muslims in Myanmar Burma should get united for this cause. Former petroleum minister and Haji Hanif Tayyab also spoke.
